The Kent City/Casnovia Community Foundation Scholarship will be awarded to two graduating seniors of Kent City High School who have been accepted to attend a college, university, vocational or trade school.

The two scholarships will be $750 each. All awards are non-renewable and are for one year only.

Scholarships will be awarded before graduation and will be disbursed upon receipt of the recipient’s first semester grades.

The recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the High School Principal and/or KCCCF Scholarship Committee.

The selection of the recipient shall be based upon the applicant’s:

1. Service to school & community

2. Character & citizenship qualities

3. High school academic record

4. High school attendance record

In addition to the application, the applicant is to provide a brief cover letter or essay which shall include:

• A short autobiography of personal, family, home, school and employment (if any) experiences.

• Academic career plan and goals.

• Reason for requesting this scholarship.

Also include any specific circumstances that should be considered by the scholarship committee.
